Therapeutic Yoga

It’s easy to think of yoga as the shapes we make and as a kind of exercise, but it goes much deeper than that.

Yoga (along with a host of additional modalities) offers many tools that might support a therapeutic journey, this is the most truly holistic offering:
– Physical rehabilitation; strengthening, stretching and realigning the body
– Pranayama; breathing practice to work with our bodies
– Somatic healing; tuning in to the body and patterns of tension connecting to our experiences
– Mental health; beginning with a specific avenue to build support techniques
– Dosha balancing; working with ayurvedic balancing of the body to harmonise our constitutions
– Chakra healing; exploring issues that may be connected with our energy centres and working to resolve this space
– Meridians; like chakras, energy channels of the body that connect to both physical and emotional aspects of self
– Acupressure & Marma; key points of the body known to have profound affects on different systems
– Mantra; chanting and positive affirmation, vagal toning
– Mudra; connecting the body to itself with intention
– Nidra or Hypnotherapy; inward journeying to support new ways of being that are true to our deepest selves
– Reiki; energy work offering love and healing
– Massage; hands on approaches to releasing tension and finding more ease in the moment

This is the most personalised and target offering of yoga. You will lead and co-create what we work on together, incorporating foundations of both active and resting postures as needed, and many other subtler aspects. I have taken a wide array of research backed trainings that often thought of independently can be beautifully woven together for a full harmonious mind-body healing journey.
