Adapting an Asana or Pose practice of yoga to a chair allows it to be so much more accessible. Whether it is because balance is feeling a little less secure, recovering from an injury or surgery, or to create a more low-impact way to explore exercise, Chair Yoga can be a really fun option.
When working in the NHS I had the opportunity to build Chair Yoga sessions into community workshops for people learning to live along side chronic pain conditions, and also into sessions focusing on developing wellbeing and resilience.

Chair Yoga can have all the same elements that you might find in a mat Yoga class; breathwork, stretching, mobility work, strengthening, balance support and meditation leaving you feeling at home in your body.
