Hello 🙂
I’m Kirby, I like to think of myself as a truly holistic practitioner; we can’t truly uncouple the mind and the body (nor would we want to), so why would healing or rehabilitation be focused on just one part of all we are?
By utilising a multi-disciplinary approach, we’re better able to find what we need on our journey together. Integrating physical movement practices, energy work and hands on healing along side holding space for emotions and challenging thoughts gives every part of ourselves an opportunity to be seen and heard.

My ‘Why’:
In 2013 I had an unfortunate climbing accident which broke 3 of my vertebrae, the after-care I was given was minimal, exercises prescribed were not tailored to me at all, and I didn’t feel listened to. I lived in pain for a few years but wasn’t ready to give up on the rest of my life, even though I knew it needed to be different. I researched (a lot) spinal rehabilitation and chronic pain conditions, and started to incorporate yoga at home which was very slow going to begin with. I was exhausted from the constant pain and diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, I didn’t feel listened to (again). But I did start to get better, I was patient with myself and put in the work, I saw my posture improve and felt my strength returning.
In 2022 as a gift to myself, I started my Yoga Teacher Training to commit to my practice, to understanding it from the inside, but I had never wanted to be a teacher. I remember our first weekend together, we all shared what brought us there and there was a powerful common thread of needing to heal. It was the most beautiful experience shared with amazing people, and it thoroughly changed my life!
During this time, I was part of the NHS as a Health & Wellbeing Coach, working with patients to develop self-management tools for what they were going through, I got to incorporate aspects yoga into patient sessions and workshops in chronic pain management and in developing resilience skills. I really love to learn because it is important that we act responsibly and do no harm to others, so I embarked on whole realms of further training, you can read about that on those dedicated pages if you wish.
I had the incredible privilege to go on to work full time at a beautiful studio, surrounded by the most inspiring and kind people, and that is where I truly found my voice, and came back home to myself.
