Tai Chi

Tai Chi is a beautiful movement practice that originated in northern China in the 16th century. Movement forms are both similar to martial arts and also calming, flowing moving meditations.

The focus is on smooth and balancing movements that work with the meridian system to boost Qi (lifeforce) development, and build a calm centre of self.

There are numerous forms and movement sets to explore, and the philosophy blends into daily life and movement. This is suitable for most people and especially popular as we age; lots of research has found benefits in frailty and Parkinson’s support.
