Manual Lymphatic Drainage

MLD therapy is really different to other types of massage, it is designed to work specifically on supporting lymphatic movement and boosting the immune system rather than working on muscle tension.

It is rhythmic, slow and often very relaxing for the client, and the benefits are based in reducing joint stiffness, reducing swelling or puffiness, supporting immunity and clearing sinuses.

Some people choose this treatment as it is much lighter in pressure so more suitable for people with fibromyalgia. It might be to support before or after surgery to help the body heal and the lymphatic system to recover. It might be long term support for helping with medical oedema after an injury or surgery has permanently disrupted the lymphatic system.
